Trip Introduction
Annapurna Base camp Trekking 12 days is a luscious mix of remarkable mountain vistas. You will see traditional mountain village life, thick rhododendron and bamboo forests in this area. Annapurna Conservation Area is one of the largest protected sites in Nepal. Going in through you will explore a variety of flora and fauna found in multiple ecosystems. All of these lies in the distance of a few days walk. As a result of its unique combination of highlands, moderate and lowlands trekkers find this place sacred. This place is a heaven for nature lovers. It has resulted in a substantial increase of trekkers in recent years.
All these bizarre and picturesque imageries lie at the lap of the long-ranging Annapurna Mountain Range. Annapurna means “the goddess of grains or food” in Nepali. She is considered as one of the sacred deities in the region. Many rivers and rivulets originate here, make their way to the Ganges and then the Bay of Bengal. This is one of the important parts of the water cycle in this region. As a result people in this region worship and honor Mother Annapurna in their own way. The way of worship differs from one ethnicity or culture to another. As a result, you will see a lot of Thanks meaning small temples in Nepali. Not mention you will experience a lot of festivals while on Annapurna Base camp Trekking.
The Annapurna Base camp Treks 12 days starts in the quaint lakeside town of Pokhara. The trail then heads to Tikkhedunga and Ghorepani. It continues through lush forests and farmland to narrow gorges overlooked by the mighty Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail). 12 days Annapurna Base camp Trekking trail takes you to the heart of the Gurung as well as Magar cultures and their traditional way of life. It introduces you to a vast variety of birds and wildlife whilst offering you the most magnificent views of the snow capped mountains of the Annapurna Range. Our destination is the Annapurna Base camp. Furthermore, we will be encapsulated by a mountainous wonderland surrounded by some of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains. A trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill will also offer you stupendous mountain views.
There are challenging days to meet our 4130-meter elevation goal, from rocky trails to the ascent of 3300 stone steps to Ulleri. However, all will be worth the effort as you accompany these majestic mountains to ABC over an array of different and exciting landscapes. Descending from ABC, you get the opportunity to bathe in the natural hot spring at Jhinu before returning to Pokhara to regale us with your adventures and achievements in the Annapurna Himalayas.

Day 3: Tikhedunga to Ghorepani: –
Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with a steep climb to Ulleri ascending a steep stone staircase consisting of 3300 steps, a difficult challenge that rewards us with excellent views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), Gandharba Chuli and Annapurana II and III.
Ghorepani is reached by passing through a huge, dense rhododendron and oak tree forest, home to Longur monkeys and musk deer.

A lot of ups and downs today. We descend for 1 hour to the Chomrong Khola River and cross its waters on a suspension bridge. We then ascend for the next 2 hours to Sinuwa. Bamboo grows wild in this area and there are many beautiful rhododendron and walnut trees along the trail.
After lunch we pass through an area named after all the bamboo before reaching Dovan and our teahouse for the night.
Day 7: Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp: –
A gradual ascent following the banks of the river Madi brings us through a sacred valley. No meat or fish is allowed in this area to comply with Buddhist and Hindu beliefs.
