Kathmandu

The ancient trade route between India and Tibet that passed through Kathmandu enabled a fusion of artistic and architectural traditions from other cultures to be amalgamated with local art and architecture. The architectural treasure of the Kathmandu valley has been categorized under the well-known seven groups of heritage monuments and buildings. In 2006 UNESCO declared these seven groups of monuments as a World Heritage Site (WHS). The seven monuments zones cover an area of 189 hectares (470 acres), with the buffer zone extending to 2,394 hectares (5,920 acres). The Seven Monument Zones (Mzs) inscribed originally in 1979 and with a minor modification in 2006 are Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka, Patan and Bhaktapur, Hindu temples of Pashupatinath and Changunarayan, the Buddhist stupas of Swayambhu and Boudhanath.

Pokhara is a metropolitan city in Nepal. Itinerary


  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    Today you arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal and the city of temples, festivals and tremendously friendly mountain people. One of our representatives will collect you from the airport to transfer you to the hotel. In the evening an optional meal is arranged at a traditional local restaurant.

  • Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing

    Today is a chance to see many of the important sites of interest and some of the seven World Heritage Sites within the valley including the most important Hindu and Buddhist temples that date back hundreds of years. Many of these sites have some of the finest woodcarving to be found anywhere in the world. In the evening you will meet your guide he will take you through trek preparation and provide you with all the information you need about the trail and the route you are taking.

  • Day 3: Sightseeing Tour: Patan & Bhaktapur

    We start today with a tour of two more UNESCO World Heritage Site cities adjacent to Kathmandu: Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan is also known as The City of Fine Arts. Patan Durbar Square (Kings Palace Square) is a fine example in the Kathmandu Valley where medieval arts and architecture still remain in their original state. The Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings with Hindu and Buddhist monuments. Similarly, the medieval town of Bhaktapur, known as The Town of the Devotees, preserves a medieval life style with fine arts, architecture, and culture. On a visit to Bhakatapur you like travelling back into the past when walking its thoroughfares, squares and streets. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 4: Drive to Chitwan

    Today after an early morning breakfast we drive to Chitwan, 150 kilometers from Kathmandu, it takes around 5 hours. We journey along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel lodge and getting refreshed we are be briefed about the full nature programs by our nature guide. Today there is a guided village walk and a walk on the banks of the Rapti River to watch the charming sunset views in the sub-tropical jungle. In the evening, a dinner and cultural program by ethnic tribal people is arranged with a stick dance and tribal drums. Overnight at Chitwan. Included all meals.

  • Day 5: Full Day at Chitwan National Park including Jungle Safari

    The Chitwan National Park has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Today you will discover why the National Park holds such an important place in preserving the wild life of Nepal. A chance to ride elephants and even bathe with them. There are many wild mammals here. The Park is home to rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild bison, over 500 bird species, butterflies, as well as the near extinct Gharials crocodiles. You do a number of activities during your stay – an elephant safari, a nature walk, bird watching, a jungle drive and a canoe trip and others. You may even take a bath with an elephant and learn how to wash your elephant! Don’t forget take a video of your elephant-bath which will be one of the fondest memories of the lifetime.   • Day 6: Drive to Pokhara, Sightseeing Davis Fall & Shiva Cave

    Today, we fly to Pokhara, 200 km from Kathmandu into the mountains around a 25-minute flight. Pokhara, also named as the Lake City, is not only one of the most beautiful places in Nepal but quite possibly on earth. The town offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and many others. Pokhara owns numerous lakes, known as ‘Tal’ in Nepali, offering fishing, boating and swimming. Pokhara is also the gateway for trekking in the Annapurna Region. On reaching Pokhara and after our hotel check in, we visit Davis Fall and Gupteshwar Gufa. Overnight at Pokhara.

  • Day 7: Full Day Pokhara Sightseeing with Sarangkot Sunrise

    We have a full day to explore Pokhara. Early morning, we drive to the Sarangkot Hill for a spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas. After breakfast, we make a full day sightseeing of Pokhara. Enjoy walking along the banks of Phewa Lake, admiring the stunning reflection of the Fish Tail Peak in the lake waters. We take a boat around the Phewa Lake, the second biggest lake of Nepal stopping across the lake and take an hour’s walk to the World Peace Pagoda. Some of the other places we visit today include the Seti River Gorge, Mountain Museum, Bindhabasini Temple the pet God of Pokhara, Overnight at Pokhara.

  • Day 8: Drive to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. The journey is a very scenic one we take lunch in a restaurant by the riverside before continuing on to Kathmandu and the transfer to our hotel reaching somewhere around three o’ clock. Some time to do some last-minute shopping before our farewell meal at a traditional Nepali restaurant and cultural show in the evening.

  • Day 9: Fly Home: Farewell Friend

    Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today your guide along with one of our representatives will be with you when you transfer to the airport for your onward flight. A fond farewell from us, with a sincere wish to meet you again.
