Nepal Lion Tours and Trek is a first class company that provides excellent service. My friend booked a trip with them to EBC back in January for a trek to Base Camp in April. And while he was telling me the details, I instantly booked. What I found out was how quick Shiva was to respond to any questions or concerns regarding the trek and how much he cares about the people who sign up to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. From our guide to our porters to where we stayed along the trek it was definitely worth it. Our guide picked us up at the airport to meet with Shiva at his office in Katmandu to go over all the details for the trek. Along the trek our guide ensured that we all made it safely. I did notice other people along the trek who did NOT have such a great experience with their guides and ultimately effects their trip. Also people traveling solo who opted not to go the route of hiring a guide. If you do not have a guide, you will not get the best rooms at the tea houses (you will most likely sleep in the dining halls) Also we heard stories of people booking with inferior guides to save on money and next thing you know they get food poisoning and have to be evacuated from the trail. If anyone is thinking about doing this trek, look no further and book with Nepal Lion and do yourself a favor and start hiking. The only way to get ready to hike is by hiking. At the end of the trek Shiva invited us out for a farewell dinner and even the next night invited us over to his house for dinner meeting his wonderful family. The excellent service, affordable pricing, and personal touch has been the principal foundation for his success. Shiva, my friend all the best and hope to reconnect in Nepal or the States in the future.

I recently took a tour to the Mt Everest base camp using these guys and they were awesome. The employes met with me on the day off to make sure I had my documents ready before the flight up to Lukla, and my guide, Raj met me at my hotel and made sure everything was set for the adventure. We went during what is concidered the off season (mid-feb) which ended up being great. The weather was awesome and they guesthouses were not to crowded. We hit our goal and I crossed this off the bucket list. If you are from the States or Europe and looking at a hike in the Himalaya's as your next adventure give these guys a call. Good company to work with. A buddy ended up wanting to come with on the trip about a week before I left and they helped make it happen. As someone from the U.S. I wanted to use a guide and local company for the base camp hike and they ended up being great to work with.

Great trip with Nepal Lion! Response rate was fast, the Director, Shiva is contactable at all times during the trip via WhatsApp or Facebook for any queries. They even provided me with a local SIM card and guide assisted me to get data on the phone to stay connected. During the trip, guide was patient and safe. I fell sick on 2days and he was constantly checking if I was ok and was concerned when I didn't feel like eating. Very attentive and caring! After the trip, I was even treated to a local cultural dinner and given a certificate of completion. Definitely different from other tour operators.

I had a wonderful trip with Nepal Lion Tours. Shiva was in good contact before I came to Nepal to arrange everything. My guide for the trek, Pasang Lama Tamang was wonderful!!!!! He made sure I acclimitised safely and comfortably and took care of me so well at each tea house on the road. I had food allergies that he was really great about helping with. He also helped others along the way when they were not so lucky as me. It was an amazing trek - made even more amazing by Pasang.
