Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

 

It’s a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. And as your plane hits the tarmac, our waiting support team will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Further, you can have welcome drinks and stay overnight at your hotel.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu to Bamti Bhandar

 

Bamtibhandar, which is situated in the northern part of the Ramechhap district from Kathmandu, is at a distance of 235km. From Kathmandu. Bamti Bhandar is known as the settlement of Sherpa, which lies at an altitude of 2990 m above sea level. After about 7/8 hours of bus/ jeep ride, one can easily reach Bamtibhandar.

 

Nepalthok or Khurkot can be reached for lunch if one can have a bus journey from early 6 am. There are 10/12 local hotels available for tourists at Bamti Bhandar. Kathmandu to Bhandar takes 7/8 hours driving and then overnight at lodge.

 

Day 03: Bhandar – Namkheli

 

We can reach Namkheli 7- 8 hours of walking from Bamti Bhandar, Ramechhap district. It takes about 2-3 hours to reach Thadakhola for Lunch after taking the Break Fast from the Bamti Bhandar. Next, after crossing Likhukhola situated at the border of Solukhumbu and Ramechhap, (border of province 1 & 3) following Chaulakharka–Lelepu, Namkheli can be reached after 3 hours of hike. We can see a lovely view of Numbur Himal from this route. Bhandar to Namkheli 7/8 hours walking and then overnight at lodge.

 

Day 04: Namkheli – Golla

 

It takes around 3-4 hours to reach Golla (2900 m) from Namkheli. Golla is considered to be the Sherpa language which is called Gumba dada in Nepali. There are 2/3 of hotels at Golla for tourists. Travelers can stay and have lunch and visit 3 Gompas at Golla named Orgen Sanang Chholing Gompa, Pema Dechhen Choling Gompa, and Guru Padhma Sambhav Gompa. Gwale caste of Sherpa is the inhabitants of Golla. Namkheli to Golla takes 7/8 hours walking and then overnight at lodge.

 

Day 05: Golla – Pikey Base Camp

 

We walk in the jungle. If you come in the spring you will see a lot of Rhododendron flowers. You have the chance to see many wild birds and animals. You can see a great view of many snow-capped mountains. Three hours trek after early morning breakfast from Golla following Lamomane-Dallemane-Muktumje through the dense forest will lead to Naur dada which consists of 4/5 hotels.

 

During the trek, one can observe the beautiful villages of Koshinasha, Golla, and Gupchuka. After having lunch from Naaur dada 2-3 hours of uphill trek will lead to reaching Pikey Basecamp which is situated at an elevation of 3600m and has an accommodation facility of 2/3 hotels.

 

Day 06: Pikey Base Camp – Pikey Peak – Junbesi


We get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Pikey Peak (4070m.). It is about one-hour walking to get to Pikey Peak. You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of
The Himalayas like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, AmaDamlam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west and other mountains. After this unforgettable view. We will see all the mountains from here as well. After that, we hike down to Jarsabhanjyang for breakfast.

 

Then start the trek towards Junbesi. We can be reached at Taktor (Lunch Place) after 2/3 hrs. hiking from Jarsabhyanjyang. After taking lunch we can reach Junbesi (2/3 hrs) from Taktor. Junbesi is considered to be Sherpa’s most beautiful village, which lies at the height of 2990m. above sea level.

 

There are 1 ancient Buddhist Monastery. It was the Point old famous route of Everest Trekking Route. there are 8-/10 well-facilitated hotels operated by local Sherpas. Pikey base Camp to Junbesi takes 7/8 hours hiking and then overnight at lodge.

 

Day 07: Junbesi –Thupten Chholing- Junbesi

 

Thupten Chholing is a celibate Buddhist monastery located in the high and remote mountains of Nepal. Founded by His Holiness Thrulsik Rinpoche in the 1960s after fleeing Tibet, it is an independent and autonomous institution. Consequently, Thupten Choling has been able to remain authentically traditional and hidden from the outside world.

 

Due to its remoteness and increasing population, the 700 resident monks and nuns live with dwindling resources, no public health facilities, and have little chance of sustaining themselves in the long run unless their limited resources are managed wisely.

 

After breakfast, we will take a hike of the Thupten Chholing Monastery at 2800m. Explore the monastery and meditate with nuns. The rest of the day is to on your own to explore. Today, we will hike for about 4/5 hours, we will have lunch at Thupten Chholing Monastery. Overnight in Junbesi at Lodge.

 

Day 08: Junbesi – Chiwang-Phaplu

 

After the morning breakfast, trek for 3 hours to reach Chiwong monastery. The Chiwong monastery is situated at an altitude of 9,000 feet on the cliff of Chiwong hill about 3 hours walking distance from Phaplu airport also, Solu Khumbu district, at one time Chiwong Monastery echoed with the prayers and scholastic activities of many monks and nuns who resided here.

 

Chiwong Monastery has the privilege to host the Dza-Rong-Phuk Sangey Ngawang Tenzing Jangpo from 1955-1958. His Holiness Thrulshig Rinpoche has lived in this monastery from 1960-1967. Chiwong monastery Celebrates the Mani Rimdu festival full moon of October every year.

 

The Mani Rimdu Festival is a colorful occasion that takes place in the most spectacular of settings in the foothills of the Himalayas. Performed by the monks of Chiwong monasteries, it depicts the victory of Buddhism over the ancient ‘Bon’ religion. Phaplu is situated at an altitude of 2400m. There is an airport, hospital, and nursey.

 

There are 8/10 hotels for tourists. It is also possible to sightsee around Salleri Bazar, headquarter of Solukhumbu district after eating lunch at Phaplu. Junbesi to Phaplu takes 5/6 hours hiking and then overnight at lodge.

 

Day 09: Phaplu – Kathmandu

 

After the morning breakfast at Phaplu, Kathmandu can be reached through 8 hours car/ jeep ride or 40 minutes flight.

 

Day 10: Depart Kathmandu

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu to Chuplubhanjyang

 

Chuplubhanjyang is situated at an elevation of 3150 m and takes 6/7 hours of bus/jeep ride to reach there from Kathmandu. Khijiphalate is situated at a distance of 168 km from Kathmandu. This is the northwest Part of Okhaldhunga district. If one can stay at Khijiphalate, there are the option of hotels but another alternative is to hike for 1 hour to reach Chuplubhanjyang where we can visit stone mane and Bouddha. There are 3-4 hotels available at Chuplubhanjyang.

 

Day 03: Chuplubhanjyang to Taklung

 

After a 6-7 hours hike from Chuplubhanjyan, the northern part of Okhaldunga, following Tholedemba Taklung(3420m) can be reached easily. After early morning breakfast from Chuplubhanjyang, one should move onwards with packed lunch as there is no facility of hotels in the route before reaching. There is only one hotel at Taklung so, it is recommended to carry 1-2 tents.

 

Traveling from Taklung, one can experience the beautiful villages of Solukhumbu and Okhaldunga, along with Mt. Gaurishankar and Mt. Numbur. Yak and Chauri cattle on route sides can always be seen. When traveling from here, one can see the ancient Buddhist Monastery at Gwangding.

 

Day 04: Taklung to Pikey Base Camp

 

Pikey Base Camp is located at an altitude of 3600m. above sea level can be reached after the journey of 6- 7 hours hike from Taklung. Small tea houses are available on the route to base camp whereas there are 3 hotels at base camp for food and lodging. During the spring season (Mid-March to Midday), one will be able to see spectacular displays of rhododendrons.

 

Day 05: Pikey Base Camp – Pikey Peak – Junbesi

 

We get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Pikey Peak (4070m.). It is about one hour walking to get to Pikey Peak. You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of The Himalayas like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, AmaDamlam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west and other mountains. From Kathmandu Valley; Dhap (2900 m) is situated at a distance of 230 km. If the journey will start at early 6 am, one can reach Nepal Thok for lunch. It takes around 7-8 hours of bus or jeep ride to reach Dhap. 3-4 hotels are available for food and lodging.

 

Day 03: Dhap to Japrey

 

After a drive of 6-7 hours, one can reach Jiprey which is 2930 m high from the sea level. Throughout the journey, Chauri gai can be seen. Similarly, long stone mane can be seen in different places. During the spring season (Mid-March to Mid- May), one will be able to see the forest painted by Rhododendron magnificently.

 

Day 04: Jiprey to Pikey Base Camp

 

Pikey Base Camp located at an altitude of 3600 m above sea level can be reached after the journey of a 6- 7 hours hike from Jiprey. Small tea houses are available on the route to base camp whereas there are 2 hotels at base camp for food and lodging. During the spring season (Mid-March to MidMay), one will be able to see spectacular displays of rhododendrons.

 

Day 05: Pikey Base Camp – Pikey Peak – Junbesi

 

We get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Pikey Peak (4070m.). It is about one-hour walking to get to Pikey Peak. Day 02: Kathmandu to Dhap

 

From Kathmandu Valley, you have to travel a distance of 230 km to reach Dhap (2900 m). If the journey will start at early 6 am, one can reach Nepal Thok for lunch. It takes around 7-8 hours of bus or jeep ride to reach Dhap. 3/4 hotels are available for food and lodging.

 

Day 03: Dhap to Gorakhani

After 6-7 hours of trek from Dhap, Gorakhani (2930 m) can be reached. There are 2-3 hotels for food and lodging. Meanwhile, you can observe long stone mane on the trekking route. Gorakhani is known as the settlement of Sherpa & Tamang.

 

Day 04: Gorakhani to Pikey Base Camp

Start trek early in the morning after having breakfast or carrying packed lunch. 6-7 hours of trek will lead to reaching Pikey Base Camp which is located at an altitude of 3600m. Small tea houses are available on the route to base camp whereas there are 3 hotels at base camp for food and lodging. During the spring season (Mid-March to Mid- May), one will be able to see spectacular displays of rhododendrons.

 

Day 05: Pikey Base Camp – Taklung

 

We get up early in the morning with warm clothes and climb up Pikey Peak (4070m.). it is not necessary to take much with us as we return later to collect our main rucksacks. It is about one-hour walking to get to Pikey Peak. You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of the Himalayas like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, AmaDamlam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west and other mountains.

 

After this unforgettable view, we come back to Pikey Base camp for breakfast. Taking the morning meal from the camp, 5-6 hours of trek following the route Lamuje- Chading – Manipang through the dense forest will lead to reaching Taklung. Throughout the trekking, Chauri gai can be easily seen. Small tea houses are available for having lunch in the route to Taklung.

 

Taklung is located at an altitude of 3420m above sea level. Most importantly, there is only one hotel available at Taklung for accommodation. As a result, we prefer a camping trek. Meanwhile, you can see long stone mane at different places on the route. During the spring season, the blossomed rhododendron forest is the major attraction of the trek.

 

Day 06: Taklung – Chuplubhangyang

 

Chaplubhangyang is a sherpa village. Also, it is located at an elevation of 3150m above sea level. With 6-7 hours of trek from Takllung via Thole Demba, we can reach in can reach there. You need to pack lunches before starting the trek, as there are no hotels on the route towards Chuplubhangyang. There are 4/5 hotels available at Chuplubhangyang for food and accommodation during the trek.
