Bhutan Tour 7 Nights 8 Days-

Trip Introduction

Ever planned of Bhutan Tour 8 Days? If not then let us explained where this short tour will lead you to. Firstly, Bhutan is a sanctuary of magnificent scenery in the heart of Himalayas. Secondly, the country’s history stretches back to the origins of Buddhism and its spiritually rich people are enterprising, Pragmatic and delightfully humorous.

Further, people live in harmony with nature and have evolved a unique identity’ derived largely from a religious and cultural heritage. Next, the Kingdom of Bhutan lies in the eastern Himalayas, between Tibet to the north and the Indian territories of Assam and West Bengal to the south. Similarly, the Kingdom has a total area of about 47,000 square kilometres.

Meanwhile, Monsoon influences and promotes dense forestation in the region and alpine growth at higher altitudes. Likewise, the cultivated central uplands and Himalayan foothills support the majority of the population. However, the Daurs plain in the south drop sharply away from the Himalayas into large tracts of semi-tropical forest savannah grassland and bamboo jungle.

What to look for in Bhutan Tour 8 Days?

Bhutan uniquely offers a rich and unique cultural heritage that has largely remained intact because of its isolation from the rest of the world until the mid-20th century. Above all, one of the main attractions for tourists is the country’s culture and traditions. In the same vein, Bhutanese tradition is deeply steeped in its Buddhist heritage.

Further, you will find Hinduism to be the second most dominant religion in Bhutan. For instance, the southern regions are famous for that. The government is actively participating and making efforts to preserve as well as sustain the current culture and traditions of the country. Most importantly, with its largely unspoiled natural environment and cultural heritage, Bhutan has been termed as The Last Shangri-La.

Similarly, the country currently has no UNESCO World Heritage Sites. However, it has eight declared tentative sites for UNESCO inclusion since 2012.

The sites include

(1) Ancient Ruin of Drukgyel Dzong

(2) Bumdelling Wildlife Sanctuary

(3) Dzongs (Punakha Dzong, Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, Paro Dzong, Trongsa Dzong and Dagana Dzong)

(4) Jigme Dorji National Park (JDNP)

(5) Royal Manas National Park (RMNP)

(6) Sacred Sites associated with Phajo Drugom Zhigpo and his descendants

(7) Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary (SWS)

(8) Tamzhing Monastery

Bhutan also has numerous tourist sites that are not included in its UNESCO tentative list. The country offers one of the elements, the Mask dance of the drums from Drametse, registered in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Bhutan is also well known for mountain adventure trekking and hiking. Jhomolhari Base Camp Trek, Snowman Trek, and Masagang trek are some of the popular treks in Bhutan.
